About me

I'm Retha Olivier, an artist working from Barberton in the green hills of Mpumalanga. I paint and draw in oil, pencil, mixed media and digital art, and I sign my work RetXha.

My studio, Inyoni Umlilo Studio, takes its name from the isiZulu word for "firebird." Like the phoenix, my work is about renewal: making something new and alive out of what life hands us. Where creativity takes flight.

My paintings are grouped into three collections:

- KyOS, a limited-edition series of original mixed-media works

- AnthOS, organic flower paintings

- FynOS, wider nature and landscape paintings

Cre8tz is the home for everything I share beyond the easel, including art lessons, group outings, a sensory art garden, and an eco shop where I teach skills and then buy back what local makers create. It isn't an institution or a corporation. It's an independent creative space where art, knowledge, imagination and people meet.
